Chalkboards are fun and charming, can be dressed up or down, and are used for cakes, decor and stationery! So easy to personalize and reuse, chalkboards are a wedding trend that is here to stay and their uses continue to evolve.
This summer, I worked with two brides who had fun ideas for their chalkboard invites. Sandra and James wanted to use green and purple chalk colors on their two-sided invites for their Hill City/Rapid City, South Dakota wedding. Gillette, Wyoming residents Anna and Brandon kept it mostly white, adding a personal touch of mountains and trees to represent their Fort Collins, Colorado wedding.
And for a different spin, last year Evan and Sarah wanted to incorporate the chalkboard look for their rehearsal dinner at an iconic Omaha restaurant. It fit perfectly with their Italian restaurant location where the menu is written daily on a large blackboard. Finally, Jessica and Hunter used a just a touch of chalkboard, incorporating it into their RSVP postcards.
There are so many creative ways to use the blackboard look and make it just right for your special day!
