While I enjoy and learn from every couple I work with, it’s always a delight to create something beautiful for a friend. Especially a friend who waited so patiently and who absolutely deserved the man of her dreams! It was exciting to witness from the sidelines as Mary found Aubrey, then to hear her confession months later that, ‘he’s the one.’
I thrilled at the Facebook post announcing their engagement and immediately started planning their Save the Dates. Aubrey was deployed at the time so engagement pictures would have to wait. Instead we featured Rapid City’s unique Chapel in the Hills where their ceremony would take place.
Mary knew she wanted to use photography on her invitations as well and Aubrey came home just in time to accommodate. The stunning Black Hills was the perfect backdrop for these lovebirds! A small directions card was included with the invitation to help guest navigate to the reception in Custer State Park.
While everyone was invited to celebrate at the reception, Mary and Aubrey’s ceremony was a small, private family affair. One of Mary’s best friends, Pastor Cassandra Lamb, officiated the service. Small cards were included in the invitation suite for those invited to the ceremony.
Mary’s color palette was a variety of soft, pastel shades, and her bouquet was created from handpicked lilacs. All of which was incorporated into her invitation suite.
As a special gift, I contacted Mary’s photographer, Studio LB, for a wedding image to create a custom Thank You card. This way Mary and Aubrey have a one-of-a-kind card and guests receive a photo to keep.
I had the pleasure of attending Mary and Aubrey’s wedding celebration, and I wish them so much love and happiness. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your love story!
