Using Photos for Your Wedding Invitations and Beyond

As any photographer will tell you, photos are an investment. But as a couple planning a wedding, an “investment” may have less to do with capturing a special moment to look back on for years to come, and more to do with getting the most out of the dollars you are spending. When it comes to wedding paper goods, we can help you put that investment to work as a cohesive theme statement starting with your save-the-dates, progressing to your invitations, and finishing with adorable thank you cards.

One of A Kind

The beauty of using photos is that they allow you to create a one-of-a-kind design for your invitations. Whether it’s pulling in the colors of the backdrop of your shoot, or showcasing who you are as a couple, the possibilities are endless.

Our couple Nichollette and Andrew wanted a romantic engagement photo session in the Old Market area of Omaha, Nebraska. The weather tried to rain on their parade, but as it turns out with the addition of a cute umbrella and the warmth of a kiss, their rainy day shoot resulted in the perfect photo to use as the backdrop of their invitations.

A Common Theme

Whether you choose to use the same photo for each piece, or multiple photos, there are a number of ways to incorporate them into your wedding before, during and after.

Niki and Andy chose to include the photo from their invitations on their drink menu card at the reception.

A Fun Thank You

When the festivities finally come to an end and you have opened all the wonderful gifts from your friends and family, a thank you note is in order. It’s a fun way to remember the day to ask your photographer to snap a quick photo of you and your new spouse issuing a thank you to your guests.

Niki and Andy sealed their thank you notes with kiss of pure marital bliss. ThankYouPC_front
